Friday evening Preview followed by Gala Demonstrations by
Ali Dietrich, Stephen McDonnell Daly and Christopher White.
Presentation of prizes by Diarmuid Gavin on Saturday 4pm.

Open Classes:
CLASS 1 Christmas Time
A pedestal exhibit to be staged on the floor.
Space allowed: width 120 cm, depth 90 cm,
height optional. Competitors to supply own
pedestal. (Details of backing on acceptance.)
CLASS 2 Hidden Charms
A tapestry exhibit. Staged on tabling. Viewed
all round and judged from the front. Space
allowed 76 cm. wide. Height optional.
CLASS 3 Let's Party
An exhibit staged on tabling. Space allowed
90 cm. wide. Not to exceed 140cm in height.
CLASS 4 Nature is never spent
A petite exhibit. Space allowed not to exceed
25 cm. in width and depth. Height 37cm.
CLASS 5 So this is Christmas
An exhibit to be staged on the floor. Space
allowed width 90 cm, depth 90 cm, height
optional. ( Details of backing provided on
acceptance, )
CLASS 6 Time for Carolling
An exhibit staged on tabling, Space lowe
90 cm. wide. Not to exceed 140cm in Height
CLASS 7 Sparkling Christmas
An exhibit to incorporate contemporary
techniques. Staged on tabling. Space slowed
90 cm. wide. Not to exceed 140cm in height
Intermediate Class
CLASS 8 Come to Dinner
An exhibit suitable for a dinner table: May or
may not include candles. Staged on tabling.
Space allowed 76 cm. wide: Not to exceed 140cm in height
Novice Class
CLASS 9 Welcome home for Christmas
A Wreath for the door, which can be premade at
home and placed.
1. All classes will be judged in accordance with the NAFAS Competitions Manual Third Edition 2015.
2. All exhibits must be the unaided work of the competitor and must be assembled in the staging area.
pre-done work: many techniques, whether contemporary or traditional, require a great deal of time to complete.
pre-done work of this type is acceptable in any class, unless specifically excluded by the Show schedule.
3. The Judges decision is final
4. All exhibits and competitor's property will be at the risk of the competitor and neither Naul Gardening and Flower Club, Kettle’s Country House Ltd., nor the owners or occupiers of the premises in which the Competitions, or any part of them, are held can accept any liability whatsoever for any loss or damage sustained by any competitor.
5. Entries must be on official entry form and must reach the Competitions Officer by 1st November 2026
6. Competitors may not enter more than three classes. Competitors may not stage more than one entry per
class.
7. Alternative choices may be made as indicated on the entry form.
8. The Competitions Committee will decide the positions of all exhibits.
9. Only officials, competitors and other authorised persons will be allowed in the hall during staging times.
10. All exhibits will be staged in artificial lighting.
11. All measurements in the staging instructions are approximate. All exhibits must be staged within the space
provided.
12. Aerosol cans of any description may not be used in the competition venue.
13. Competitors will be responsible for maintenance of their exhibits for the duration of the show.
14. Depth of tabling is 76 cm approx.
15. Competitors entering the Intermediate classes must not have won more than 3 first prizes at any show.
16. Competitors entering the Novice class must not have won a first prize at any show.
17. Competitors must ensure that all rubbish is removed from the staging area
18. Staging: Friday 20th November 2026, 10am - 2.30pm
19. Judging: Friday 20th November 2026, 3.00pm
20. Dismantling: Saturday 21st November 2026, 4.30pm
The committee has the right to remove exhibits which remain after 4.30pm on Saturday 21st November
2026 and will not take any responsibility for loss or damage to these exhibits.
