The Association of Irish Floral Artists (AOIFA), which was founded in 1973, is the official organisation of Floral Art Groups and Flower and Garden Clubs in Ireland. Its objectives are to bring together members of these clubs for artistic development and for cultural and educational purposes. Clubs usually meet one night a month and host flower demonstrations or gardening talks. Other activities include classes, flower competitions, shows and garden visits. Our motto is “Friendship through Flowers”. There are more than eighty clubs scattered all over the country. The Breast Cancer Ireland charity was voted by a overwhelming majority by our members for the coming two years.
A presentation of €30,600 was made to Ciara Whooley AsIAm on behalf of the Executive and members of AOIFA.
The proceeds were raised from nationwide fundraising initiatives including the AOIFA Flower Festival in June 2024.
